"I was reminded by a friend recently while travelling to the States, that she remembered my husband wheeling me around the airport in both Gatwick and Brisbane last year because of my very painful left knee. I had a ‘torn miniscus’ caused by poorly prescribed orthotics and could not weight bear on my left knee for a number of months. I chose to treat my knee with my low level laser rather than have an arthroscopy. I was understandably wary having encountered so many people with unsuccessful procedures that had left them in worse pain than before. "I would like to say just how brilliant this laser therapy is. I didn't think for one moment someone pointing a laser at my painful joints could ever do any good. With an already painful back condition and a frozen shoulder it looked as if independent life was well and truly over when arthritis in my knee flared up too. "Our 6 ½ year old Dobermann, Dexter, had just been diagnosed with a cruciate ligament injury and was in pain and unable to put any weight on his right rear leg. We had just been to the veterinary surgeon and been told that he would need an operation to put in a plate and pins and after 5 months recuperation he would get back around 80% of his mobility. We weren't happy with that and in searching for other options discovered cold laser and Mary.

Mary came to our house and was infinitely patient with Dexter, getting on the floor so he would be comfortable during treatment. After the first session, he had an immediate healing reaction, with some increased swelling and tenderness. We waited a week and Mary came to the house again. The second time his gait was noticeably easier after the treatment.

At that point we realised that Dexter would benefit from more frequent treatment, especially after his hydro-therapy and other exercise, so we invested in our own laser. I'm happy to report that after 5 months Dexter was fully recovered, with 100% mobility. He's back playing and chasing squirrels and is himself again. I'm certain that the cold laser treatment made a significant contribution to his recovery and am very grateful to Mary for introducing us to this life-saving therapy."
